NOTICE OF VACANCY
LUNENBURG HOUSING AUTHORITY

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Sections 3-1, 7-10, and any other relevant provisions of the Town Charter, of the following vacancy:

LUNENBURG HOUSING AUTHORITY- SPECIAL APPOINTMENT TO GOVERNOR’S APPOINTEE VACANCY

Composition, Terms of Office:
There shall be a housing authority consisting of five members, four of whom shall be elected by the voters and one of whom shall be appointed in the manner provided by general law. All of the members shall serve for 5-year terms, so arranged that the term of office of one member shall expire each year. The term of appointment is immediate and runs until May 1, 2021.

Powers and Duties - The housing authority shall make studies of the housing needs of the community and shall provide programs to make available housing for families of low income and for elderly persons of low income. The housing authority shall have such other powers and duties as are given to housing authorities by general laws.

The Board of Selectmen will accept talent bank forms from interested persons through April 22, 2019.
Talent bank forms can be found on the front page of the Town website under Files and Documents and can be filled in and printed out. The vacancy will be filled by the Board of Selectmen in May.
