The Town received a letter on Tuesday, June 29. 2021 from the Massachusetts Housing Finance Agency (MassHousing) that Kevin O’Brien of Pond View Commons, LLC has submitted an application for Site Approval for a 40B project on land located at 318, 390, and 400 Howard Street in Lunenburg. The proposed development would consist of 200 units of rental housing on 18.5 acres of land.

This document provides a good overview of the laws, process, and timeline associated with the Comprehensive Permit process. Also as part of the process MassHousing will accept comments on any issues that have been raised or are anticipated in the Town’s review of this application. Due to the number of comments that have been received, the Town requested and was granted an extension to have comments submitted to MassHousing by Thursday, September 2, 2021. If you have comments please send those ASAP and no later than Monday, August 23, 2021 in order to compile the comments into a comprehensive letter to MassHousing.
