Veterans Services Agent

The Town of Lunenburg seeks qualified applicants for the Veterans Services Agent position.

Working under the general direction of the Town Manager, this position provides administrative, supervisory, and social welfare work in directing and coordinating the operations of veteran’s services. Work is performed in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws, and rules and regulations of the United States Veterans Administration.

High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in veterans’ benefits administration, preferred. Must be an honorably discharged veteran. Must possess valid Massachusetts Driver’s License. Thorough knowledge of state and federal laws pertaining to veterans and their dependents and working knowledge of the methods and principles of veterans benefits assistance, case work, administration and available resources, strongly preferred.
