Assistant Town Manager/HR Director

The Town of Lunenburg is seeking applications from qualified individuals for the position of Assistant Town Manager/HR Director. This position provides assistance to the Town Manager and is responsible for human resource administration, and a variety of special projects as assigned. Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Human Resource Administration, Business Administration or related field preferred; 5-7 years related administrative experience preferable in a municipal setting; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience. HR certification is desirable and MCPPO certification is preferred. Qualified applicants will have a knowledge of human resources concepts and practices, as well as knowledge of Mass General Law, Open Meeting Law, and rules and regulations as dictated by the Attorney General’s Office. Individual shall possess strong leadership communication, organizational and inter-personal relations skills. This is a non-union, Grade 16 Salary Administration Plan position, $38.44-$47.77/hr; 28 hours/week; excellent benefits. Will be required to attend night meetings as needed.
