The Lunenburg Adult Activity Center is a source of service and a place of opportunity - a focal point in the community. We function as an information and referral service for elders and their families. If you have a concern we have staff available to assist you, just give us a call. Open to all people age 50+, in Lunenburg and surrounding communities.

We publish a monthly newsletter that details programs and activities as well as items of interest to elders. Newsletters are available at the center or in various locations in the community (Town Hall, Library, Post Office, St. Boniface, United Parish, Worker's Credit Union, Lunenburg Family Practice). A subscription is also available at a cost of $5.50. You can view our newsletter online by going to mycommunityonline.com When prompted just type in Lunenburg Council on Aging and you can view all current and past newsletters.

There is also a weather-proof newsletter box located outside of the building on the porch for those who would like to pick up a copy after hours.

We offer programs and services that are diverse and inclusive, promote dignity and well-being, support independence and encourage involvement in community life.

How Can You Support The Lunenburg Adult Activity Center?

There are two ways for you to give to our beautiful facility.

All donations are used to provide things such as:

  • Health and Wellness Programs
  • Maintenance of our Memorial Gardens
  • Outdoor/Indoor Recreation Equipment
  • Computer Equipment
  • Kitchen Supplies
  • Entertainment
  • Special Event Celebrations
  • Memory Cafe

Lunenburg Council On Aging Gift Fund

There are no membership fees required to attend the programs at the Lunenburg Adult Activity Center. If you would like to donate checks or money orders can be made out to the "Town of Lunenburg" and designated in the "memo" section of the check "COA Gift Fund". If you are not using a check or money order just enclose a note informing the town that you would like to donate to the COA gift fund.

Eagle House Supporters Inc.

The Eagle House Supporters Inc is a private, non-profit 501-c-3 corporation, formed as a support group for the Lunenburg Adult Activity Center, to provide assistance for items and programs not funded by the Council on Aging town budget.

Membership is open to all in four categories: Sponsor, $100; Business, $50; Patron(s) $25; Individual, $10. The dues run from August 1st to July 31st. Donations and Memorial Gifts are also accepted. "Supporters" brochures and forms are available at the center. All contributions are tax-deductible.
